How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 3 years as an HR coordinator

They always ask why I left, and I freeze. Any experience at all would help. I do not want to blame the company. Do they ask follow-ups?

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.
