How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 16 years as a procurement assistant

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as a procurement assistant. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to blame the company. Do they ask follow-ups?

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.
