How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 16 years as a pharmacy technician

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as a pharmacy technician. I am in Atlanta, in case local advice matters. I also do not want to seem like a risk. Do you mention numbers?

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.
