How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 15 years as a security officer

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. It has been a long 14 weeks. I do not want to blame the company. Do they ask follow-ups?

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.
