How do I explain a layoff in interviews? after 13 years as a nurse's aide

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I also do not want to seem like a risk. What do you say?

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.

Practise it out loud with a friend. Mine felt natural after the third try.
