They always ask why I left, and I freeze. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to blame the company.

Practise it out loud with a friend. Mine felt natural after the third try.

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.
