How do I explain a layoff in interviews? - 3 months and counting

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I also do not want to seem like a risk. Do they ask follow-ups?

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.
