How do I explain a layoff in interviews? - 23 weeks in

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I am in St. Louis, in case local advice matters. I do not want to blame the company. Do they ask follow-ups?

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.
