Hiding a layoff from the family, bad idea? - 5 weeks in

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a pharmacy technician. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Bills are coming up and I cannot keep this quiet. Did it get easier afterwards?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
