Hiding a layoff from the family, bad idea? - 13 months and counting

My spouse does not know yet that I was let go as a school bus driver. I feel ashamed even though the company cut a whole team. Did it get easier afterwards?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
