Explaining a layoff without sounding bitter - what worked for you?

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. I am in Salt Lake City, in case local advice matters. I do not want to blame the company. Do they ask follow-ups?

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.
