Explaining a layoff without sounding bitter - first time posting

Yuki Andersson · 2026-06-23T12:27:22.168Z

I have an interview next week and I am unsure how to explain why I left my last job as an electrician's helper. I have been practising in the mirror. What do you say?

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.
