Explaining a layoff without sounding bitter after 11 years as an operations analyst

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. It has been a long 5 weeks. I also do not want to seem like a risk. Do they ask follow-ups?

If a company has been in the news for layoffs, you can mention that. Often the interviewer already knows.

Say it plainly and move on to what you can do. Interviewers usually move on if you do.
