Explaining a layoff without sounding bitter - 2 weeks in

My whole team was cut and I want to say it calmly. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have been practising in the mirror. Do they ask follow-ups?

I keep it to two sentences: the company cut my team, and here is what I am proud of and what I am looking for next.
