Did anyone get a WARN notice? - any advice?

Our team was told about a closure date that is 26 weeks away. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. I do not know if I should start looking now or wait for severance news. Has anyone been through this?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
