Checking my last day of health coverage - 5 months and counting

I am not sure what date my benefits stop after being let go as a security officer. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. The letter is unclear about dental and vision. How did you confirm your end date?

Ask HR to confirm the exact date in writing. I also called the insurance company to double-check.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
