Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - what worked for you?

We are a household of 13 and need to cut costs quickly. It has been weighing on me all week. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $850 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
