Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - what worked for you?

I have 13 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a pharmacy technician. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
