Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - what worked for you?

We are a household of 10 and need to cut costs quickly. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am nervous about the credit card minimums.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $150 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
