Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - what worked for you?

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1200 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
