Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? (update)

We are a household of 6 and need to cut costs quickly. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1150 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
