Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?, teaching assistant here

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I worked as a teaching assistant before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $250 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
