Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? (Raleigh)

I have 11 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a copywriter. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $750 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
