Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? (Providence)

We are a household of 18 and need to cut costs quickly. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $750 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
