Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? (Honolulu)

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $150 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
