Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - first time posting

We are a household of 7 and need to cut costs quickly. I am in Omaha, in case local advice matters. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1000 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
