Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? (Birmingham)

We are a household of 11 and need to cut costs quickly. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $750 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
