Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - any advice?

I have 3 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a welding apprentice. I worked as a welding apprentice before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
