Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - any advice?

I have 2 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an event coordinator. It has been a long 17 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
