Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - any advice?

We are a household of 18 and need to cut costs quickly. I worked as a delivery driver before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $250 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
