Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - any advice?

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an administrative assistant. I am in Nashville, in case local advice matters. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $250 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
