Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? after 6 years as a line cook

I have 9 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a line cook. It has been a long 20 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $400 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
