Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? after 4 years as a mechanic

We are a household of 4 and need to cut costs quickly. Thank you in advance. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1000 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
