Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? after 11 years as a bookkeeper

We are a household of 11 and need to cut costs quickly. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $700 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
