Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

I have 8 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a home health aide. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. Did any lender work with you?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1200 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
