Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

We are a household of 18 and need to cut costs quickly. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. Did any lender work with you?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
