Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - 8 months and counting

I have 8 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a janitorial supervisor. I worked as a janitorial supervisor before this. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1000 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
