Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

I have 2 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a payroll clerk. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What helped the most?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
