Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

I have 5 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a copywriter. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
