Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $550 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
