Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - 6 months and counting

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a mechanic. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
