Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first?

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. It has been a long 7 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
