Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - 12 weeks in

We are a household of 8 and need to cut costs quickly. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What helped the most?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $950 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
