Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - 10 months and counting

I have 10 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a paralegal. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
