Budget after a layoff: what did you cut first? - 10 months and counting

We are a household of 6 and need to cut costs quickly. I worked as a quality inspector before this. I listed every subscription and found several I forgot. What helped the most?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $700 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
