Benefits end date after a layoff - what worked for you?

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. I am in St. Louis, in case local advice matters. The letter is unclear about dental and vision. Did coverage match what HR said?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
