Benefits end date after a layoff - first time posting

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I do not want to be surprised by a bill. What should I do about appointments?

Keep a copy of any coverage confirmation in case of later disputes.

Dental and vision sometimes end on a different date from medical. Mine did.
