Benefits end date after a layoff - first time posting

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. The letter is unclear about dental and vision. What should I do about appointments?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
