Benefits end date after a layoff - first time posting

I am not sure what date my benefits stop after being let go as a school bus driver. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have an appointment next week.

Ask HR to confirm the exact date in writing. I also called the insurance company to double-check.

Keep a copy of any coverage confirmation in case of later disputes.
