Benefits end date after a layoff (Austin)

I was told my coverage ends on my last day, but the letter says the end of the month. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want to be surprised by a bill. Did coverage match what HR said?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
